Wills and Bequests
You can support the work of Divine Word priests and Brothers by remembering them in your will. You bequest of stocks, bonds, cash or real estate will have significant impact on the Society.
The 10-10 Club
By pledging $10.00 a month for one year, you will be supporting the education and training of one seminarian. Benefits in the “10-10 Club” include enrollment in the Mission Mass League for each year of your pledge. With your membership, we will include a membership card and certificate of your enrollment in the Mission Mass League.
Annuity
Father Joseph Seybold gave the Society of the Divine Word its first annuity 100 years ago. That initial gift helped establish a program that has grown steadily over the past century. For 100 years we have never defaulted on a payment, even during the Great Depression. Our annuity program is attractive because the rates are high and our investment policy is conservative. Real Estate
There are several ways you can make a gift of real estate. One way is to give the property or asset today as an outright gift. Another way is to give it to the Society as a bequest. When you leave the real estate as part of your estate gift, this is known as testamentary. A third way is to create a Life Estate. In this instance, you give your home to the Society under the condition that you can continue to live in it throughout the remainder of your life.
Certain tax deductions - estate, capital gains and income - are applicable with some of these gifts. Please consult with your accountant, estate planner or attorney to find out which option is the most beneficial for you.

Matching Grants
Many companies show their generosity and philanthropic intentions by matching their employees' gifts to their favorite nonprofit organizations. Most companies will match an employee gift on a 1:1 basis but very often matching corporate gifts can be on a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio.
Please check with your company to see if they have a matching gift program. If your company has a program, request a matching gift form. Fill it out and send it to us with your gift. A matching gift can be a great way to incrementally increase the level of your gift.
